Almost identical to Polyommatus icarus the Polyommatus icarus f. icarinus is distinguished by the absence of the
stain on the cell in the point highlighted in photo 2.
It was described for the first time in 1791 by Scriba and marked as a species in its own right, currently it is considered as a form of the species Polyommatus icarus .
